Making the Entrepreneurial Leap
Embarking on a new business can initially feel very lonely. There’s so much to do, and as a solopreneur, only me to do it. And yet, at no time in this adventure have I really been alone.
Turns out, the connections I’ve made during the past 16 years of my professional life are coming along for the ride.
I’ve been beyond lucky to work for two great organizations, ad agency Rick Johnson & Company and Central New Mexico Community College. And, over the years, I’ve been the beneficiary of so very many acts of connection, kindness, generosity and most importantly, constructive criticism.
And the gifts just keep coming – I’ve received advice on graphics, logos, branding, websites, writing, finances, legal hurdles, technology, business licensing and the unique challenges of finding an entrepreneurial work-life balance.
Turns out I’m surrounded by and buoyed by people from throughout this community. I wake up every day in awe of how fortunate I am to be a part of a place like Albuquerque. So, now, as I go at it alone, there’s no alone about it.
Thanks everyone. Here we go!
